Yes. It is my estimate based on the rough back of the envelope explanation in the message. I'm biased. ;). But, I fight it every day! :)

Much will depend on CM's willingness to promote and how the competitive dynamics play out among carriers in China. It may take a quarter or two for CM to see that they need Apple more than they have thought.

The real question is incremental sales. There were already north of 10 million units a year being sold to CM customers and used on their EDGE network. The installed base seems very likely to upgrade but it is also true that Apple has probably grabbed many of their hard core fans that are China Mobile customers.

As always, subsidies will be key.
