short squeez discussion:

Let's say i am a shorter and i naked short 100 shares. These shares get bought and sold several times until Ellen buys them and calls for certs.

Doesn't the shorter have to cover these particular 100 shares?

Everytime somebody calls for certs the shares are most likely comparised of shares backed by certs and those that have been shorted naked. Right?

Therefore, the short squeeze should have started already especially with 90%+ of the certs in hand. A greater % of shorted naked shares
are requested everytime someone calls for certs. Right?

So..the shorter has to go out on the open market to buy shares to cover the call for certs....but he might be buying some shares backed by naked shorts so he has to in reality buy more than is actually requested.

Like a steamroller effect.

Can somebody with knowledge on short covering tell me if I am right or wrong?

Thanks

Buster
