To All:
Talked to Bill in MUEI IR (800-214-6671 ext.83900) today. With all the techs selling off due to problems in Asia I wanted to know what % of revenues came from that part of the world. Bill said that only 7% of revenue was international, and about 3-4% of that was from Canada. The remaining 3% was mostly from Asia. In other words 97% of MUEI's revenues is from the US and Canada !

I then asked what % of their components come from Asia. Bill didn't have any hard numbers but he estimated that about 70-75% come from Asia. The strong $ and dumping of components by the Asians has got to be a plus for margins.

I asked Bill to mention to the CEO, CFO etc. to include the above facts in the CC on Mon. 15 Dec. Remember that the cause of the lastest warning was due to excess notebook inventory, not problems in Asia. If they can:

1. meet the current FC est. of .06 (last time I looked)
2. state that they have corrected the inventory problems that led to the warning
3. state that they have minimal revenue exposure to Asia, and obtain a large percentage of components from Asia, and the impact this will have on margins
4. state that they have confidence in their ability to improve earnings and increase shareholder value

This is my Christmas wish list for MUEI. If we get all of the above maybe, just maybe this poor ol' dog will start to show some life next week.
