I was still in grad school when he croaked. I would like to flatter mice elf by thinking I had a file behind the Free Speech Movement, but I was just another schlub in the movement, so prolly not. Don't think they were watching my sis and ex (and, of course, all the family members) until the mid '70's.

They spied on me and took pictures. FBI guy in Arctic circle I know of for sure as he told me.

After spending 3 days visiting, myself and John Urutia my buddy, in northern Alaska he said: "do you know what I do?" FBI.

I never worried about it.

John was Basque I think with a dark beard and we both talked hippie talk.

He played a good guitar and I spoke pretty radical stuff in those days.

The straight world had no idea what we were about!
