Quoting from part of the speech given by TX CEO Peter Bijur to 200 odd security analysts at Harrison, NY, there is indeed silver lining that TX won't stop with one licencing deal on GTL....

"...Technology Drives Future Success

Bijur noted that success in 1998 and beyond will be driven by technology, such as Texaco's new state-of-the-art 3-D visualization centers and the promising agreement with Syntroleum to explore gas to
liquids opportunities.

In conclusion, he stated, ''As I look forward to the next five years, I am confident that Texaco is well positioned to build significant value for its shareholders. We have substantial and profitable assets in our portfolio along with financial flexibility, and we are ready to capitalize on many new opportunities.''

This information was available last night. This does not preclude TX from RNTK technology. The TX-Syntroleum plant will be on a barge to go after natural gas. RNTK technology will be used on land to go after heavy bottoms. Two different technologies. One does not preclude the other. The important players would have sold out RNTK before the market opened. Interesting the dip occured as this release was posted here at SI. Amateur day traders squawking like pigeons flying away. later... S
