I think Apple is a refuge during fear for active traders. When things look good they put their money in other stocks they think might be more rewarding, or options etc.
I'll tell you what I think. I think there is something to what you think on this point.

Very interesting point because for, I think, most of this year there has been very little discussion of options trading by some members of this group. It seemed to be that everyone was trading options and then almost complete silence. I wondered why since I know very little of options and don't do the thing. Then someone posted that there has to be fluctuation in price to produce activity. So, I guess, Apple bored the option traders because no money could be made?
