We've been thru all that, the humbling of Billy Graham,the endless hypocrisy of the so called religious right that embarrasses itself at almost every turn with its uselessness to produce or deal with change. In effect no agents for change, accept maybe in the case of equal rights, this country is still maturing. For all those successes in the military we could ascribe that to the spirit of Stoicism, that discipline handed down from antiquity. Actually some of the best secularists & deepest philosophers i have met were from the military, the religious ones were usually the supreme assholes, most clueless & worthless of the bunch. ( a few exceptions)
