On the subject of slavery, as long as you are doing remberances,marking such dates.... also the anniversary of that wide held scripture based belief that Christianity, white supremacy and slavery were ordained from heaven and both blessings to all humanity. And the supreme duty of such men of god to uphold & defend the truths of scripture , to teach slavery from the pulpit as it was taught by the holy men of old, who also were moved by direct contact with said 'holy spirit'. Then took only took 150 years for the Southern Baptist Coalition to finally be so moved by that same "Holy Spirit" to apologise for their stance in 1995. Of course after the Civil War there were denials a plenty for holding such beliefs and so it goes with God's infallible truths marching on, but rather slowly at times it seems?
