Since accounting is not an exact science (especially for the insurance industry), we are relegated to choosing sides. I have chosen to hold because:

1. Dirks had the opportunity to tell his story when he was looking for potential aquisition targets for CNC, and chose not to because it was not in HIS best interest to do so at that time. Now, all of a sudden, in his opinion, it appears that CNC is misrepresenting their financial position. I have emailed him some questions, which he has not answered.

2. CNC has a good track record for shareholder return.

3. Very high levels of recent insider buying.

4. MLynch and First Boston have mentioned CNC as undervalued in the past two days.

I too, have looked at CNC balance sheets and they are too difficult to decipher for me. A shame that small investors are left to making educated guesses, while those in the know take advantage of every price swing. Will watch CNC closely with a mental stop for the time being.

Good luck.

Hi Pancho:

<<the guy has gone totally insane which is
a posibility. >>

A risk we all face. I am in another stock which just keeps dribbling down when it should be soaring up and I am wondering whether I have flipped my lid.
