We have been having lows in the positive single digits this past week. I was in Lewiston for the weekend. Got home and I had no water, hot or cold, in the kitchen. Other faucets were cold only. Hot lines were frozen. Drat!!!
I put a space heater in the utility space where a lot of the pipes are and left what faucets that would run dripping. Turned off the main shutoff at 11 in case I had any burst pipes overnight. Turned the water on this morning and YES! Pipes unfrozen. I guess I caught them before things got frozen real bad.

It's even cold here in Southern California, so much so that the kitties won't get out of their heated beds.
