( Revelation 2:22-23) Jesus calling Lot, "Just" and "Righteous" (the same Lot who got both his daughters pregnant after offering them to a gang rape) isn't "wacky"? Brutally torturing and murdering 42 children for engaging in childish fun isn't wacky? The whole bible is wacky. There is not a single page that doesn't reek of primitive and savage WACKY. Why cherry pick?? I doubt you can find a single page in the whole collection of primitive tribal lore that is not replete with wacky, wacky, wacky? I bet you cannot...

It contains a bunch of stuff that is silly..... The same thing could be said of much of the Bible (if left uncherry picked by yourself, of course ) Its your own rainbow bridge assertion that women were afforded these wonderful freedoms & bestowed with such great honor,then there's the reality, women were looked upon not much more than child bearers & chattel. So your pov "silly", what you call gospel canon was originally cobbled together storys & parables. Just how richly populated that world was with stories, creeds & fables of the Judeo/Hellene world even 300yrs before Jesus? Then add Roman culture to the mix later which also afforded its women a certain round of respect. The answer is, enough to write 20 Bibles and prolly more wisdom than 20 Bibles. Your religion is a creation of Hellene Jews, then later a fabrication of the Roman's own incorporation.
