I would hate to see them bought out now. They would start from a price of 13, maybe offer 18, and I wouldn't break even.

Hey - good idea - start a rumor - it couldn't hurt

The press statement was confusing.

Jman, Paine Webber downgraded VVUS from buy to neutral in the last hour or so, no details yet that I have access to.

A take-over? That came to my mind too...when stock is cheap, paradigms shift so to speak. Reasonable question. The management team seems hell bent on developing a credibility problem, not the product.
I've felt for some time that it has had way too much heat put on it if it is indeed good for a much smaller demographic that the orals can't reach as effectively. My opinion only. Let's see what happens next, and with a shift this big, something is bound to happen. This is on par with things like, "I'm fired?, you're leaving me?, Uncle Davey died?, the ENTIRE management team is brain dead?" LOL You get my drift.

Take care,

Frostman

I may be wrong but there is always a possibility for a takeover..
Why should they be worried? would solve their problems in a way, look at VIAGRA? Time will tell, but it is a company (VVUS) that I would not
mind holding long term.. It will be very rewarding.
