I've heard of the "Asian Contagion" - but this is ridiculous...Actually, if that new avian influenza virus is as nasty as it sounds, gold isn't going to matter much, or anything else...just what the world needs in Asia - a real contagion that is bigger than central banks - I gather that they are finding it to be "novel" - kills cells before they can use them to make a vaccine - yuck...Now that is a good reason to head for the bunker. Cheers - hope this is contained - or I hit my kayak with a bunch of fishing tackle and head for islets unknown.
