Koan, Do you think the scientists would call themselves mostly liberals if we were putting up straw men. Of course they would. Most of these "scientists" rely on public funding, so they're going to vote their wallet. The whole notion of selfishness is outside of the realm of quantitative science. Scientists are just as guilty of selfishness and self-delusion as anyone else. That's why they rely on the scientific process. The bottom line is that no one can PROVE that conservatives are all about selfishness and liberals are all about altruism. You show me a scientist who claims he or she can, and I'll show you a fraud.
