Well, I guess they are in the different market.

SW/CTD are pure Client/Server tools. They are not web enabled.

Hi Robert,

Jasmine will compliment Centura's line of tools, Centura Team Developer/Web Developer, not compete. This is a fantastic opportunity for Centura to increase it's developer community and will benefit both Jasmine and Centura.

I'm going to send your query off to a more technical type for response since you are much more technical than I. I will post the reply here or on our newsgroups.

Note: Might take a couple of extra days due to Fall IWorld.

Jasmine is an object oriented data base--positioned as a database where the data fields can include multimedia objects, ala voice and animation. As such, Jasmine is not positioned for the same types of business applications where SQLBase would be a database of choice.

Jasmine is bundled with Jade, an IDE. Jade, however, does not offer the rich programming environment features, such as revision tracking, CTD offers.

Like Jade, CTD is web enabled. Developers can write a single piece of CTD code that can operate as either a Windows client or a browser client.
