Anybody have a fairly firm release date for Office '98? I ask because I'm seeing various reports saying everything from MacWorld to "spring." As far as the stock options, a positive is that Jobs repriced employee options to the mid-teens, if I recall correctly. So employees do have an incentive to turn things around. Jobs claims that the parking lot is packed at night. Anybody want to cruise by Cupertino tonight and take a look? :) To my mind, the two most experienced board members, Woolard and York, have the most stock, which they purchased themselves. I like that and like them. OTOH, I now have to admit that we are back to July again. Anything below 15 triggers my July memories. I never thought we'd be back down here again and we won't be for long thanks to the time of year. Of course the company is in better shape than they were in July. End of clones, MSFT support, Rhapsody and NCs closer to fruition. Good press on OS 8. Etc. Marc PS--Techweb: "The delivery of the Office upgrade, as well as Microsoft's $250 million infusion into ailing Apple," Oh, so now it is $250 million? Has someone admitted that MSFT will be paying Apple $100 million over the next few years in royalties, besides the $150 million stock buy? I like it. Like I said before, even five million a quarter in bonus profit does huge things for Apple.
