25,000 does not sound like too many - considering the promise of a massive network upgrade, years of pent up demand and early adopters in the worlds most populated country... I would have thought a couple of million may be in order...

If there had been an official announcement and that page was taking real preorders (instead of a page for appointments), this number would be terrible. Hard to interpret much without knowing how much publicity this is getting in China.

Yes, not having multiple million pre orders in the first 12 hours is a huge disappointment. :/
