If the pubs could come up with constructive plans either of their own, or modifications/improvements to the AFCA that would be a good thing for the country IMHO.

The cost issue divides us as a people into 'winners' and ""losers" under the new health care system. How this is going to play out remains to be seen. Will the "losers' accept the higher costs of the socialization of the new system or will they take their marbles and go home--or to supporting alternatives?

You know, I think, in hindsight, we should have just mandated basic catastrophic coverage with a laundry list of options people could add on for an ala carte price if they desired. Not being present at the creation of the AFCA and the discussions that were involved with everyone and the insurance companies I don't know the reasons this wasn't an option that was looked at--or if it was looked at why it wasn't adopted.
