True. But they haven't. For a reason. They live and breath design.

It was bad design more than anything else that screwed Microsoft. The interface blunders, the Zune etc were pretty bad.

Once you have a good design team, it perpetuates itself for quite some time, even through a transition like the death of Jobs.
