I also believe Ryan is a good man but he absolutely blew it on this deal. I just don't get it, really.

How can you not get it? He is not a actual fiscal conservative. Look at his record. He considers the perception that he is a compromiser...... one who gets things done.......one who moves the ball down the field as more important than anything else. The sequester was the ONLY thing that actually arrested increased govt. spending.............and he willingly and enthusiastically made the deal.......gave it up...........and with that idiot Patty Murray no less............even she gets the best of the Republicans......and the establishment Republicans tell you we have to elect more Republicans,. take the Senate and THEN things will be different. Do you honestly believe that? With the likes of McConnell, Alexander, Graham, McCain, Corker, Ayotte, Murkowski, Flake, and others.......conservatives have NO chance. Now watch how JUST enough Republicans vote to effect cloture and stop a filibuster. I predict Collins, Murkowski, Graham, Corker, and Alexander. Then they all vote against it in the real vote but then the Democrats only need 51 votes .....so it passes.

<<The failure to elect Romney was the biggest missed opportunity for this country in my lifetime, at least. He was perfect for the job.>>

I agree.

<<but he absolutely blew it on this deal. I just don't get it, really.>>

Lets just see how things unfold. On the surface - it looks like a really bad deal but I've got a hunch that there's a potential dividend in there...it just may take some time
