Electric--be sure to keep your eye on the Compaq thread for company-specific news. Compaq has apparently been saying with some consistency that its bottom-line numbers aren't affected by the Asian troubles. We won't know for sure until January's quarterlies. BTW, the downgrade still leaves CPQ as a Buy for that brokerage house (I forget which brokerage it is), and just removes it from the Recommended list, whatever that means.

Technically, if CPQ closes at 60 or above today, it will continue its picture-perfect narrowing traingle. It would need to bounce and consolidate to become a screaming technical buy. As it is today, it's very, very tempting. But like you, I'm distrustful, especially of broader market sentiment.
