Left to their ideas, Dems would turn America into Detroit.

I'm not totally clear how all of this pertains to the post I made to Jorj. It's kind of all over the map but I'll go with it.

<<I see no way for our divide in the country to improve except for the dems to win and dominate like they did in th e30's and 40's. Because the dems believe in and use science in their social planning.>>

So you want a single party system where the government handles social planning? Hasn't that already been tried? I wonder what our founding fathers would think of such a system?

<<That is why scientists almost totally avoid the Republican party. They know evolution is real, global warming is real, social science is real, income inequality is real, the war on women is real, the war on gays is stupid as they are born that way and society needs to make a place for them, racism is stupid; and they understand the science that is necessary for a civilization to thrive e.g. what it takes to have a healthy society.>>

So what you're saying is that if a person is conservative OR religious they
  • Don't understand science
  • Don't believe in evolution
  • Don't believe we've seen an increase in global temps
  • hate women
  • hate gays
  • Believe in racism
  • lack the mental capacity to understand how to advance society
Those are some pretty sweeping statements.

Here's a thought -

President Obama said he was a Christian (we can find that on YouTube). So, using your line of logic that would mean he's a scientifically challenged guy that embraces racism, hates gays, hates women and believes that Adam and Eve lived in relative comfort without air conditioning.

Kind of makes you wonder whether he's the guy to advance a healthy society?

<<We went through this in the 17th century when science pulled us out of the Dark ages. The time when science rose to dispel incorrect ideas is called The Age of enlightenment". >>

Kind of hard to believe they were still pooping outside with all that enlightenment and scientific know how.
