I have no doubt Reagan would have much preferred a report from that commission that instituted one form or another of ss privatization. He campaigned on such notions. And I have little doubt that the commission informed him that aim was not politically possible. So his wisdom was to accept the inevitable. And one of the ways he was not a Tea Party guy.
