Yup, here's what happens:

1. People buy iPhones
2. People, as employees, bring their iPhones to work
3. Employees demonstrate to their bosses that iPhones are way better than whatever phone their boss has provided them
4. Bosses find they can cut costs and improve productivity by forcing IT guys to allow iPhones into their system
5. IT guys reluctantly agree but state they will not support iPhones
6. iPhones work better on the system with no IT support than other phones work with IT support
7. Gradually, over time, IT realizes there are more iPhones in the system than other phones
8. Gradually, over time, management realizes that IT is over-staffed and under-utilized
9. Eventually, IT departments are downsized and IT workers are laid off
10. Rather than transitioning into a satisfying job, unemployed IT workers find themselves a low-level job where they no longer respect themselves, then populate message boards like this one, posting their sour grapes anti-Apple nonsense 24/7

In fact, having them here doing that is a small price to pay in exchange for watching Apple crush the competition.
