I measured Carter by his cabinet and if you look at it, it was pretty good.

He was a zillion times better than Raygun.

That's because he was a weak pathetic President. You are not alone in thinking that about Carter. He went from an approval rating of over 70% when first in office to the low 30's when he left office (and that was up from the low!).

I have a it higher opinion of Carter's presidency than you do but not that much. But it gives you some idea just how little i thought of Reagan that I still think four more years of Carter would have been preferable to Reagan's first term. Far more preferable.

Still better would have been a first four year term for Ted Kennedy.
