Why?

Its clear that the debt has gone up as a percentage of GDP at least every year since 2008, and that it will continue for the next few years (and longer unless we get an economic boom or major political change). I could do the math to get the specific ratios for 2008 and 2009 (I've already posted 2010, 2011, 2012, and est 2013), but without doing that I've already shown your claim that started this conversation is false.

If you want to try to make some point using the precise figures, do your own math (or googleing) or at least say what that point is, then maybe I'll consider doing your work for you.
