Nest is moving way to slow - not sure what they are waiting on - maybe the API's are not mature enough.... Bluetooth le monoxide sensors are $8.00/piece in China- the market is going to go crazy - these things are so low cost to build and deploy....

More Oft Topic Thanks! I got such a chuckle out of that. I can identify with it as well. Don't worry. In my mental image the dim light of the Nest didn't show much. I preordered also. It did arrive earlier than their prediction. Yes, the unboxing, as with Apple products, is reminiscent of opening a Christmas present. I don't have the thermostat. I have this weekly schedule thing to set 4 temperatures and times of change a day for 7 days. Klunky. It's nice after it's been set up. Dreadful to make changes on. I'm considering getting the thermostat sometime before Spring. I'm using a propane Buck Stove to heat the house in Winter. This is my first Winter using it. The central HVAC unit is a backup in Winter, and I'm on it right now as I just ran out of propane this evening. Got to get a bigger tank. I have a fill down bed cover. Don't know if it is a duvet. It does a wonderful job, but I keep the bedroom closed off. The temperature gets below 50 in there on these cold nights. It was taking too long after going to bed to warm the bed and my body, and I was unable to go to sleep until I felt warm from shoulder to foot. The electric blanket is just quicker.
