Dont think it was related to the china PMI miss. One big block of 12000 contracts traded on the light tape and caused the drop: zerohedge.com

That was some impressive move overnight, we'll see what happens today... futures went all the way down to 1755.00 and is now 10 points above that... a solid recovery off that key low at the 50 exponential DMA which is at 1754.95 this morning, that could be close enough... of course, if it heads back down later today or tomorrow, that could spell trouble for the bulls...

There are lots of bullish wedge breakouts along the way... this is a daily SP futures chart going back several years... using the 65% rule, each break out occurred right on schedule...
