Marx wrote Mein Kampfe on TP in the klink. Karl Marx's father was an elder at the temple and a tailor in a town in Germany. He moved the family to a larger town to gain access to a larger market. The new town rather than being predominantly Jewish did not even have a Synagogue or Temple. One day he came home and announced they were going to go to the Lutheran Church. Karl read between the lines of his fathers' response as to why and conlcuded that the answer was that it was good for business. The sacrificing of deeply held religious and moral beliefs for profit had a profound impact on young Marx.
