Hi EKS,

I like too buy stocks as they touch the lower Kletner band.

In checking out DE - it is one of the most solid stocks out there - almost never approaches its Keltner band.

Hard to get a bargain on.

In Wisconsin all of the big dairy farmers have the largest of Deere's offerings.

This allows the most efficient harvest in terms of time and diesel fuel consumption.

That is true for crop farmers as well - few anymore do both.

It has become big business and big debt/money.

Deere has benefitted from this and I don't see it changing.

Interest that GPS and satellite input can also save on application costs of fertilizer - so technology has a way of being efficient as well.

Bets of trades

Bob

""As far as AG companies,""

Owning farmland, the only Ag company I own is ADM. They mange the logistics of moving our production for us. They move 100 car loads of farming production every Monday of the year out of our town in the valley. They come in on Monday morning with 100 empty cars and move out with 100 full cars. I don't know how much they move in the country, but it is a whole lot.

I purchased the stock many years ago for less than $5. The founders of ADM started out of Minneapolis and my father would sell farm production through them.
