LoL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You just keep proving my point in the name-calling area.
Thanks.
btw . . . YOU are the one who seems to not understand what we're talking about
YOU are the one who does not respond to anything I post .. I assume because YOU do not understand it
I am the one that responds to each and every single item you post.
Just look at the "quality" of our posts and it is easy for anyone to see who is less "ignorant" (as you say)
so .. more schooling . . . .

1 - "rich" is a relative term. $55K would be slightly above the middle person . . not exactly what I would call "rich".
Personally, I think of rich as in the top 10% . . so, in referring to our data below, rich would be greater than $135K.
Of course, I have made more than that each year for the past 15-years and, living in Montgomery County Maryland, do not consider myself rich.

2 - those values referenced below (and yours too) are HOUSEHOLD incomes ... so, usually more than one person. This can be misleading as well . . . in MY household, only I work and my wife cares for the home and children. So MY Household of over $135K compared to my neighbor's Household of two $70K workers is hard to compare on an individual basis.

3 - again, "rich" is a relative term .. not only WHERE you live (#1 above), but also WHO is doing the name calling ("poor"). Some think the lower 10%, some thing the lower 20% . . . the government determines poverty based on the number of people in the Household (makes sense) and an average would be about $22K or less for the entire Household.

4 - BUT, to your specific question . . . I think you would find it hard to find too many middle-aged, average Americans that think $55K per year GROSS is RICH.
