Kevin,
It seems to me AMD is the leader of flash technology of the world.

Fujitsu launches low-voltage flash memory
TOKYO, Dec 11 (Reuters) - Fujitsu Ltd (6702.T) said on Wednesday it
has launched a new eight-megabit flash memory that uses only 1.8 volts. The new product, the MBM29SL800T/B, was jointly developed with
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.N) of the United States, Fujitsu said in a
statement. The company says the 1.8-volt charge required is the lowest of any flash product on the market.
The product is expected to be used in cellular phones, digital
cameras and personal digital assistants, it said.
The MBM29SL800T/B chip is being manufactured by Fujitsu-AMD
Semiconductor Ltd, a joint venture between Fujitsu and AMD. The company is located in Fukushima Prefecture in northern Japan.

Kevin, This is good news for AMD. However in the past the stock has not risen on flash announcemnets as the street consistently prefers to relates AMD to CPU and only as a minor iritant to Big Daddy Intel. I hope it helps the stock tommorrow cause Intel is going down further. The slide has begun. Tommorrow it may close lower than it's split adjusted price. Also looking back at Intel historical chart the current correction Intel is undergoing from all time high of $104.00 appears to be the biggest percentage drop in the last five years. Just another indication that this correction is for real and it ain't over yet cause the fat lady has'nt sung in the Church of Intel. Good new is when Stockman rears his ugly heard around here again we can point out to him how utterly propostourous his comments about AMD reguarding Flash have been. Also the news should make his day. He seen silent since Brian pointed out how disliked he is on a bunch of other threads.
