"We know as people get educated they become more liberal." I don't see any correlation there either. Many Nazis were exquisitely educated, but remained the most heinous of Nazis.

General education is the antithesis of indoctrination. It was the antidote for dogmatic indoctrination that plagued the human species until only recently. That is why they called the dawn of education, the age of "enlightenment". Regarding the Koch brothers et al, many are just sociopathic in nature and many get an education but only pay attention to what they want, or like the bush's were raised without a proper conscience. I have found that people who were heavily indoctrinated when young have a hard time getting rid of it later in life. Dogma/indoctrination when young is like putting a virus in a new computer. It really messes it up.
