I'm not reading any of these because I'm many seasons behind on Breaking Bad and now Homeland.

In other news, I finally watched "Das Boot"...the three hour version. Wow. Very powerful. In some ways it reminded me of "Breaking Bad" in that I caught myself cheering for the bad guys. : /

Yes, Homeland will be able to begin anew sans Brody and his wretched daughter. I'll miss his wife, however. I thought she was lovely.

MoS has really turned into a top notch drama, comparable to Mad Men, and not just because of the Fifties.

Again, Seasons 1 & 2 of American Horror Story are on Netflix streaming and they're both excellent. Season 1 is just a real good haunted house story with great characters and lots of surprises, while Season 2 is some of the wildest TV I've ever seen. It's called asylum and it's insane. You don't need to watch season 1 to understand season 2, they don't need to be watched sequentially. Each season is a completely different story with different characters though they use many of the same actors. Jessica Lange shines in all three. Chloe Sevigny guest stars in season 2 and Kathy Bates guest stars in season 3. Many other recognizable actors are in all three seasons. The actress who played the mom in 6' Under is in all of the seasons, playing different parts. She plays the Angel of Death in Season 2.

Did you continue watching Party Down, Chris? Jane Lynch guest stars in Season 2, and it's worth watching throughout. I can't imagine why that show got cancelled.

Thank god there's nothing on through the holidays. Maybe I'll get some reading done. Shameless and Justified begin again in January.

I saw American Hustle last night. Tremendously amusing. Jennifer Lawrence was hysterical.
