RE:In fact, we plan to add the stock price at time of message post to messages on our boards in stock forums. So, if you recommended shorting Netflix in January of this year, you are probably going to have to learn to live with that post and the price at the time of the post sitting right next to it.

COOL!

@Dima,

tanks for the reply. very good answer. i can live with the way SI works...
i have lived with it for 13 years. i posed the query here so that newbies
would know the ground rules and i didn't really expect it to change. i'm
happy to hear you have some improvements in mind.

for me, the most important part of your reply was this phrase:

<We do take user privacy and the right to anonymity seriously here...>

i always trusted that was true... until the recent change in ownership. the
doubts creep in when the communications between SI Admin and the users
are curtailed. i've seen a lot of stonewalling on this thread and others by
SI Admin (in comparison to the previous administrations). i think it's to your
advantage to be responsive to users concerns and i appreciate your well
written, serious response. i'll give it a rec. <g>

Hi Dima,
I notice that when I go to the news page for ANRGF, for example, there is nothing on that page to indicate that there is a message board for that company on the site.

markets.siliconinvestor.com

Subject 58532

There are a number of ways I think it could be easily addressed, no?

Thanks,
tsl

Great! I like the 15 min limit. Too many already rewrite history as it is even with the ability now to research what they really said.

I like the idea of putting the price of the ticker into the message frame for each board. I'd love to see that done along with the actual ticker. I've seen some change the ticker of their forum to what is hot so it would be informative to see if that was a contra indicator or just a way to attract eyeballs.

If possible, how about posting the S&P500, Gold and the 10Yr UST rate into all posts so we also have a record of those?

As for PMs, I hate to use them since I can't easily store them on my computer for a record I ALWAYS have access to nomatter what.... Maybe a feature that lets us assign an email address to send us a copy of each PM (to and from us) with the details of sender, time and subject the reply came from at the top of the message so we can store them on our mail files.

Thanks for the great work improving the site.

In fact, we plan to add the stock price at time of message post to messages on our boards in stock forums.
I hope that will be retroactive. Is that possible?
