I've too been beaten up by the slide today, and think it is primarily margin pressure related to statements by CR (to which a good friend of mind spoke today) that production startup is more likely to be mid to end of January (See post #1633) Apparently Company is still awaiting part of laminating portion of coating/laminating equipment In my opinion, there are three principal parts of the production process: (a) coating (b) laminating, and (c) manufacture or assembly. I think that the company feels that of the three processes (a) and (c) are the most difficult and have been essentially 'solved'. I think that we will have to wait on (b), and that the company feels that (b) will be solved, but we have a 4-6 week wait from earlier (mid-December) schedules. This stil implies a Q1 production startup, but has created uncertainty and perhaps lack of confidence in management's assertions regarding production schedules.

Red Chip has a small update on Valence following last week's announcement of the change in CEO's. They called the move "sudden" and said they were uncomfortable with it.

They also said they had talked to the company and were told there were no problems with the commercialization program and that there is a "high probability" that production will begin in the "March quarter", as previously indicated.
