Can't seem to find anything on the web that backs that up.... What is it that the GOP has done that has stunned him ?

That's a silly statement. There's been no "free ride" for quite some time. Real pollution has pretty much been dealt with in this country (unlike China), so now it's trace amounts of carbon dioxide (plant food) that's become the bogyman du jour for the econut crowd.

The problem that your bunch has is that all the hyper exaggerated, chicken little, global warming hysteria has basically caused the public to tune it out. Carbon based fuel usage will increase, for the simple reason that such fuels are far and away the most efficient and cost effective sources available. If the climate warms up, it will. If it cools off, it will. And windmills and Teslas won't make a damn bit of difference..

Eric, The key to this issue is if CO2 is a pollutant.
