I don't like that both parties have these hit men whose function in life it is to investigate the other party. But they do.

Obama's is the most corrupt administration I've seen. Worse even than Clinton's, which I didn't really think was possible. I haven't followed these investigations closely but my understanding is that the IRS investigation has been the subject of intense stonewalling by the administration and the evidence of White House involvement is fairly strong, even if a lot of it is circumstantial.

But I don't think any of them can be referred to as having "fallen apart" at this point. If anything they've been knocked out of the way by a far bigger scandal, Obamacare. And I believe the Republicans learned something during the government shutdown: Never get in the way of the president's "signature legislation" falling apart at the seams. They're staying out of the way as this disaster runs its course.
