Talk about no basis in economic fact... When you have a collapse in the financial markets, like the Long Depression, the Great Depression, what happened in Japan and the Bush Bellyflop, it takes a long time to dig out of it. Just ask the Japanese. I am willing to bet you that you cannot find a single case where the recovery from a financial collapse took less than a decade to recover from. If what you are claiming is true, there should be plenty of examples out there. All of the examples I know of say it ain't so.
