Yes, most people are stupid. The average IQ is only 100 and combining that with gross ignorance about nearly everything, it's easy to fool most of the people most of the time. <are you saying most people are stupid?> All of us have only about 1 kg of brain and live not long, so we are all grossly ignorant about nearly everything. Therefore, none of us is in a great position, even with an IQ of 160, which very few have.

In SI and the modern Cybersphere, we can synergize a fair bit so we can look out for each other and ring the alarm when we spot something. It's not so easy to swindle everyone these days, though the Global Alarmists had a good attempt at it.
