You raise a point that's been really confusing me on this one: what ever happened to all of those 500k blocks of shares (totaling 3.5 million) that got sold cheap. *Someone* has those. I thought for sure it'd be the MMs. If so, buys should be filling more quickly, but it's also been my experience that they're not. It does seem that you can't buy shares unless someone else sells them. Could it be that all of those cheap shares have already been bought up? Or perhaps they weren't being sold to MMs to begin with?
