Mark,

I admire your long term strategy of holding a solid company like Compaq. Taking a more short term approach, I bought a batch of Jan. 60 calls today, hoping that the Asian market problems are going to settle down. We'll see...

mark, I helped start cpq and had cpq before it was even public.
I bot it whenever it crashed too
I had employee stk options that were sizeable
I put my 401k in cpq monthly regardless of crashes
and cpq's policy is to match your 401k 100% every month..
So I got the match in cpq stk too.
if it was 120 or 20..i just kept doing it.

So, even though i took a beating the last 2 months...
my 15 yr investment is way over your 25 yr investment that wnet up today.

Even stk clerks and janitors were given stk. the ones that were hired
in 1982 and 1983 are all millionaires now..and those are the janitor's stock option plan<ggg>
