Even the sales tax is "temporary" but I never see it lowered. The income tax seems to always be higher and the biggest recent change is more people fall into the highest income tax bracket (now 10% I believe) as they expanded the base to raise more money.

My best move was to move to NV where there is no State Income tax in 2012. CA has a huge base to generate growing tax revenues but they still spend too much. I believe they spend more on the prisons than they do on education. That seems backwards to me.

Prop 30 taxes... en.wikipedia.org ... income tax increase expires in 7 years, sales tax increase expires in 4 years.
