Hello all.

Initially I felt ok with VVUS at 13. Then after three brokerages downgraded it from buys to hold/neutral, I was quite dismayed.

My initial reaction was for the stock to achieve 15+ in the next two weeks, but given the downgrades AND the Arsenio press release today, it looks very bleak.

All major tankers get some kind of "dead-cat" bounce action, mostly due to inital short coverers. I'd be very wary of buying long right now. VVUS may well test 15, but I do NOT expect VVUS to break 15 (former mega support, now major resistence) unless VVUS offers some major, positive news soon. Otherwise, a few more days around this 12 - 15 level and the shorters will feel comfortable at this price level and start shorting it again.

The very critical number is 15 obviously. I would NOT recommend any buying until 15 is tested and firmly broken. So long as we are below 15, long term investors are stuck holding.

Given current news and brokerage downgrades, I would look for shorting opportunities when VVUS nears 15.

For Daytraders, tomorrow should be another good opporunity to scalp some profits, either short or long. Buy if it nears 12-13 and sell when it nears 14 1/2 - 15.
