Where did you find this? I thought there would be no statements according to IR until earnings.

The 25 to 30 cents excludes one-time charges. This is not good.

Sounview analyst positive.

The analyst on CNBC said, "QNTM is a good guy in a bad sector".
He said it may not put a drag on NASDAQ like ORCL did yesterday.

I don't know about you, but if QNTM came in at 55 - 60, that's
excellant compared to the whole sector. Analysts expected over 60
cents before all of this upheavel occured in the sector. Compare
55 cents to WDC 20-30 cents, and that's a leader!!!

It sounds like Quantum has listened to investors o this thread:

Quantum will be holiding a conference call at 2:30 PST at 1-800-553-3540.

A replay of the call will be availalbe through tommorrow at 1-800-696-1563, access code 261347.

The earnings revision looks deeper than many people have been expecting and is caused, no doubt, by the deeper than expected cuts in prices for low-mid range capacity HDDs.

My first reaction is that this will have a negative impact on the stock tommorow because of the extent of the revision. However, much or all of this is already factored into the stock price. The impact of this news will likely hinge on what the company has to say about forward looking prospects. That might be difficult because the situation is still in a state of flux. However, recent cut-backs by Seagate, WDC, Fujitsu, and posibility for trade actions could stabilize prices rapidly. If thats the case and DLT sales remain on tract and Quantum lays out a good picture for growth of DLT and cost restructuring of the high-end business, then Quantum could solidify its position or move up from here.

A lot of IFs that hoepfully will get some clarification during this conference call.
