I don't remember that the CEO ever said anything along those lines. If he did, this would be a dumb statement to make imho. OTOH I thought there was an observation made that long design cycles which don't result in mass production for the fab are becoming less attractive now. I think this was posted back in September. I guess it would be better to have idle design engineers than an idle fab. OTOH When they bought Mint I thought it would be to help meet their design demands and also add production to the fab. Why else would they buy Mint? It still seems strange to me that they would buy Mint and in the next breath say that things would be flat for awhile.

I guess this is where having no IR to speak of will lead you.
