JDN,
Thank you for taking the time to type thse instructions. I also have trouble with cut and pasteing. I could never actually figure out what I was doing wrong. Now I know. Thanks again. Sandie

JDN, Steve, and Sandie,I'm a little fearful of saying this, because I'm pretty much of a computer neophyte, but this can be so frustrating if it doesn't work, so:

To select by dragging the mouse when you want to cut and paste, it's a left click on the mouse for me. Also, when you go to the location where you want to paste, you've got to remember to click on that spot (put the cursor where you want the transferred text to begin) so the text knows where to go.(When my son taught me to cut and paste, he said, "Then tap the place you want it to go on the shoulder to tell it something's coming.")

It's the same thing in the end, but I personally find it easier than using the keyboard, to do it this way: Click on, first, Edit (on the top of the page you want to copy)...[choose] Copy; then tap the new location on the shoulder and click on Edit...[choose] Paste. It pastes right there like magic, beginning where the cursor was sitting.

If I've added to the confusion, I'm really sorry.
