I had some measure of prosperity, not wealth, but that's mostly gone now, largely due to me the Bush Great Recession and paying out of pocket for every dime of my own healthcare. Just my insulin runs $7800 a year. I still own a house, and have too much net worth to get subsidized coverage from my state. To get that, you practically have to be penniless and homeless. Vote Republican - you ARE one. We're a nation here, (D)'s want to take care of everyone, (R)'s want everyone to take care of themselves, since they actually represent the wealthy and corporations that have no trouble doing so. Vote (R), and just pray you never get really sick or fall on hard times. Good luck to you.

The bottom line is that our society must make sure all people have insurance. The real problem we are facing is that the pubs will not allow we dems to create the most efficient health care system which would be a single payer universal health care system. So we end up with this bullshit privatized rube Goldberg contraption from the pits of the Republican think tank hell, which is only worse than having nothing at all. We don't even have to create it, it has been created in many countries all we need to do is copy it. If not for the pubs we dems would have done that 50 years age. That is what the debate should be. In the meantime we need to make this work somehow and then as we replace the duck dynasty clowns we can replace it with something intelligent and cost effective.
