I'll speak up in Penni's defense. She was one of the folks who stood by my side while I was still "finding my feet" in this wild new medium. She is one of the few people around here whom you can count on to be genuinely nice as well as razorly of wit. I'll betcha that the self-absorbed beacons of 'sterone ta whom she was so obliquely referring are neither you nor, uhm, me. Lurk up a storm at Don't Ask Rambi, or the now-dormant Politically Incorrect thread (the last fifty posts or so, where political incorrectness was no longer a topic really) to see a Really Good Writer at work. Waaaay back in this thread (in the early thousands) Penni laid pen to the Legend of Rambi. Barbie's prettier sister, with a lot less on and sporting this Uzi. I wish I could find those posts. Maybe one day we'll write an airport paperback...and rake in those royalties. I dream.
