You're so right about it getting stale. When they introduced all the gimmicky crap, they limited the field to people who would never make it in the first place or has-beens. Seriously. They can't find a bunch of fresh faces who can play the game without having to recycle Rupert? But no. They have to be PC and have either the fat chick or guy, well-balanced tokens from each race, a gay. Pretty sure we're going to see a transgender or gender-neutral type in the future.

Wasn't it started as some kind of protection for the producers when that loony-toons teacher quit, had a few days off, a clean bed and a couple of steaks, and then they allowed her back when her revitalized self whined about going back? I've forgotten the details but I think it went something like that.

If it's the one I remember, she didn't quit. Showed up in a long denim skirt? Singing and being obnoxious?
I think she was odd man out when teams were picked or something like that. Gone from the git go. 1st time they ever did that. Guess they felt bad and brought her back? Not sure...but she wasn't there long after her return.

Could be wrong...

I for one don't like it when someone goes home as soon as they hit the beach. Thought that little stunt of voting 1 person off 5 mins in this season was wrong.
